So I read somewhere that when we want to avoid something, it’s a lot easier to command a positive action rather than a negative one.
So instead of telling yourself “Don’t binge” or “Don’t go to the kitchen”
Tell yourself “Stay here” or “Drink 3 cups of water” or “Listen to some music” or “chew gum”
This makes it easier to process and follow.
